Muhammad Fathul Ihsan, BS completed his undergraduate work in Electrical Engineering at George Mason University (GMU) in 2011.

His senior design project is titled “Foot Surface Thermo-Scanning System” intended to create a device to help people with diabetes to monitor their foot health from ulcers. The work was completed under supervision of Dr. Joseph Pancrazio, Professor of Bioengineering at GMU. After finishing his undergraduate, Ihsan came back to Indonesia.

He worked at PT Hidayah Nur Wahana for six months to get some work experience. Then he came to CTECH Labs Edwar Technology to be a visiting researcher working on Electrical Capacitance Volume Tomography (ECVT) application for brain activity imaging. During this period, Ihsan helped his team write a paper titled “4D Brain Activity Scanning using Electrical Capacitance Volume Tomography” which was presented at International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI) 2013 in San Francisco, California.

After six month being a visiting researcher, Ihsan was accepted as an assistant researcher at CTECH Labs. Ihsan was assigned to Center for Medical Physics and Cancer Research (CMPCR), one of the research centers at CTECH Labs. He has written two more conference papers with his colleagues.

One titled “Brain Tumor Detection using ECVT” was presented at International IEEE/EMBS Conference on Neural Engineering (NER) conference 2013 in San Diego, California. The other titled “ECVT for Human Brain Motion Activity Observation” which he presented himself at Middle East Conference on Biomedical Engineering (MECBME) 2014 in Doha, Qatar.

His research interests include neuroimaging, neural rehabilitation, and biosignals. He and his team currently work on improving ECVT system for neuroimaging especially in detecting brain tumors.
