Development of Multi-modal Electrical Capacitance Volume Tomography (ECVT) as the Basis for the Human Body Imaging

    ECVT sensor that is currently applied in many industries is not reality be applied to medical field. This is because diagnostic imaging does not only require information that includes the object’s position and geometry information but also requires pathological structure of human body. Therefore measuring the permittivity distribution that provide information geometry and using sensor ECVT conductivity distribution may resolve structure and as well as the indications of pathology. The Dual modality reconstruction is based on the measurement of capacitance and power consumed by the object using modified algorithm with sensitivity matrix. Reconstruction method using Linear back projection algorithm (LBP), Landweber Equation (ILBP) and the reconstruction process is done using the software MATLAB R2008a.
