Characterization Acoustic Signal for Detection Abnormal Tissue Using Ultrasonic

    The appearances of abnormality in human body need to be known as early as possible to accelerate the process of therapy and enhance the opportunity to recover from illness. Important information about anatomic functionality of tissues as indication of cancer presence or abnormal tissue can be obtained using physical parameters characterization of ultrasound propagation in tissues such as intensity. Acoustic signal character for detection of abnormalities can be measured by pulse method. In this work, acoustic signal characterization is obtained by using simulation from software Comsol Multiphysics 3.4 and by experiment of ultrasonic. Simulation had been done to find optimum parameter for diagnosis on different acoustic impedancse and sizes of abnormal tissue. The results showed the differences in echos of normal tissue from abnormal tissue. This concludes that intensity echo is proportional with acoustic impedance and size of the abnormal tissue.
